Cambodia Snapshot: Dancing Pavillion

All Around Cambodia, Cambodia Snapshots, Phnom Penh / Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Here’s another Cambodia Snapshot entry..

A part {I think the most visible part} of the Cambodian Royal Palace complex. This is the ‘Dancing Pavillion’. Intricate and very grand. Sometimes used as a reviewing stand on events, its is also the site for moonlight dance performances. Lately, pigeons have decided to call it home, and you can see thousands of them alighting on the roof..

  1. Beautiful shot, Lui, at the same time it looks eerie. That pointed details on the roof – I don’t know what it is called – but it looks like a classical Khmer dancer’s graceful hands and the distinctive “bent/pointed upwards fingers hand movement”.

  2. thanks sreisaat. shot when chinks was busy feeding the pigeons @ the park in front. i find it kinda eerie too..i wanna tweak it in Photoshop ill make it vintage or b/w for an eerier effect..
