Cambodia Snapshots: Phnom Penh Chaktomuk Theatre

One of the landmark buildings here. The Phnom Penh Chaktomuk Theatre. Located along Sisowath Quay. Originally opened in 1961 as La Salle de Conférence Chaktomuk. It is mainly used now for performances as well as business conferences.

Chaktomuk Theatre Phnom Penh

It’s small and not as huge as other complexes in Cambodia but its very distinctive and eye-catching. This is one Phnom Penh’s architectural landmarks and well worth the visit.

This is also an entry to Scenic Sunday and my Cambodia Snapshots series.

It looks like an interesting building, very different and much more attractive than the generic buildings we have in my town.

Looks familiar. I have one Filipina mom whom I have postcross with and she lives in Cambodia. Nice royal buildings though.
