Food Trip Friday: Home-Made Pork Longganiza

I’m still on the SBD diet right now, so to make things a little easier for me, I schedule menus and I also prepared some easy to cook stuff for my sister and the kiddo. I made tocino, spring rolls and longganiza. All Filipino breakfast favorites!  Why? They are easy to keep and fast cooking and also this is the only way the kiddo would eat meat.

With longganiza as well as tocino they both prefer it to be cooked a bit burned around the edges. It doesn’t look so pretty but it does taste fine and goes so well with the veggies + that sweet-sour Cambodian garlic-chili sauce..

i agree. tocino or longganisa taste much better if they’re burnt just a little 🙂

I haven’t made longanisa in a while. I’ll make some para sa christmas breakfast hehehe. I wonder saan kaya makabili ng puro taba lang na ground? Gusto ko kase dagdagan yung ground pork na nabibili sa lucky kase halos puro meats lang sya di ba?

    Thanks everyone!
@Mumsified, oo yung sa Lucky lean meat talaga. I used that before and medyo matigas sya so now I just buy from the market 1 kg of meat pinipili ko yung may konting fat and just chop it myself. Hayy too bad they don’t have ground meat sa market.
