Living in Phnom Penh: Time To Snuggle In

Talking about the weather is boring. I think. And some people say its a topic that you resort to when you ran out of things to say. But that is not the case with this post. I’ll talk about the weather because I’m loving it! If you ask me what’s my favorite season here in Phnom Penh, then this is it!

I know during this time back home in the Philippines, we get a really cold and wet weather. Lots of rain and storms which is a real hassle specially during the Christmas rush. Here in Phnom Penh though, starting November the weather is really awesome. Cold and dry, rains are sporadic. We get sunshine but not in scorching hot doses. Definitely the best time to have a walkabout and travel all over the country.

I specially love waking up in the mornings. It’s cold and the breeze just makes having coffee all the more enjoyable. The only downside is that, I have a hard time waking up the kiddo for school. She loves snuggling in and rolling around in bed after she wakes up.

Just like this morning, it took me almost 30 minutes to rouse her out of bed. Lol! Now she’s always looking forward to weekends so she could sleep late. This kind of cool weather also induces me to have an all out war with dust and mite. I’ve been cleaning a lot lately, though I’m a bit piqued.

We have a lot of broken stuff, like the other day the bidet in the bathroom went out of order and I dunno how to fix that. I could change light bulbs but I draw the line at plumbing. We also have a lot of drawer pulls broken. I already bought the replacements but it’ll have to wait till Hi-ace is here. And that’s in three weeks time.

Hmm, I think I’ll go back to bed and catch a few more minutes of sleep. I slept so late last night that now my eye is almost shutting down…Later.
